Our beautiful new nursery is a warm and inviting space for children aged 2 to 4 years, led by our experienced, qualified teacher, who has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and learning. Supported by a caring, nurturing and skilled team of qualified practitioners, every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.

We provide a safe, well-equipped setting where each child’s unique needs and potential are recognised and celebrated. Through a thoughtfully designed early years curriculum, we create engaging activities tailored to individual interests and abilities. Children enjoy a vibrant indoor learning space alongside a fantastic outdoor classroom.  

To ensure a calm and consistent environment for the children currently in our care, we do not offer viewings during the nursery day. We understand that seeing the setting is important, and we appreciate your understanding as we prioritise the wellbeing and routine of our little ones. 

We will be contacting parents of 2 year old's for a September 2026 start in the next few days.  Unfortunately we only have 8 spaces so are aware that some parents will feel disappointed to not receiving a space with us for September.  We have 24 spaces for 3 year olds and expect to have a few spare days available for September, therefore we have re-opened our list for applications of those that are 3 ready for a September 2026 start.  You can apply using the form here.

Sessions and fees

• Lunch of a hot meal cooked by the school catering team or a prepared picnic lunch can be purchased for £1.00 during term time.  Meals can be chosen and booked by parents through our Arbor system and are the same meals as the rest of the school.
• Nappies, wipes, snacks and sun cream are to be provided by the parent. If wipes or sun cream have not been provided by the parent, a charge of 50p will be billed for each application/use.
• Snacks can be purchased on a regular basis for 50p per session, which will be billed separately.
• Funded EYEE sessions of 15 hours will be delivered over 38 weeks using any combination of sessions from above.
• Funded EYEE sessions of 30 hours can be delivered over 46 opening weeks using any combination of sessions from above.
• We plan to close for the school Christmas holiday, October & February half-term and one week at the end of the summer holiday for the academic year 2025/2026.
• Attendance at the nursery does not guarantee a school place in reception at Little Common School.  Applications for school places are made through the local authority in the usual way.
• Once your child is provided with a place, please download this funding form and return to the school with the original birth certificate.
