Nursery Practitioner Level 3 Vacancy

Following the successful launch of our nursery provision in September 2025, we are delighted

to see it already thriving and in high demand, with a strong reputation across the local

community and a growing waiting list. Our nursery offers high-quality early years care and

education, operating Monday to Friday, 7:45am – 6:00pm for 46 weeks of the year.

As we continue to develop and expand this exciting provision, we are looking to strengthen our

team. You will join a committed and supportive staff group, working alongside our experienced

class teacher and wider school team to provide an exceptional start to every child’s learning

journey.

The role available is:

A level 3 nursery practitioner, however, experienced level 2 practitioners who are willing to be funded through the apprenticeship programme to complete the level 3 early educator course, are welcome to apply. 12pm - 6pm 30 hours per week 52 weeks per year. Holidays will be taken within the nursery closure periods with any remaining days as per agreement in advance. TA3 Vacancy

Little Common School is a large, vibrant, and welcoming school located in the heart of the village of Little Common, on the outskirts of Bexhill. We are proud to be an outstanding school with excellent facilities, a strong sense of community, and a commitment to nurturing every child’s potential.

Our school is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive staff team, and positive relationships with families. We value collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement, and we offer a well-resourced environment where staff are supported to grow professionally.

We are seeking to appoint a proactive, organised, and nurturing Teaching Assistant to work in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, supporting children in their learning and development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, demonstrate empathy, and have strong relationship-building skills. You will need to be resilient and flexible, working collaboratively within a supportive team.

Previous experience supporting children in an educational or similar setting is desirable. This role also includes lunchtime pastoral support.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30pm - 3.30 pm term time only, therefore

the salary stated is pro rata.
