Armistice
On Monday 11th the whole school gathered on the playground for a lovely service to remember those that have fought, and are still fighting, in war.
We were very lucky to be joined by four members of The Royal British Legion and the children were so respectful and quiet throughout the service. We listened to ‘The Last Post’ and then two Year 6 children read their poems.
Throughout the service our Year 6 Art Ambassadors stood proudly dressed as soldiers to represent the silhouette soldiers that we see across the country - We were impressed by their effort and maturity.
Thank you to parents and carers who tied some red fabric to our display on the year one playground. By the end of the day, the poppy was complete and it looked wonderful.
